Yesterday (28th April), Fiona Bruce held a meeting in Congleton to gather views from her constituents who cycle and are keen to make changes for the better. Two hours later, she certainly had plenty of ideas from those present, and she is determined to follow these through to make a difference. Two members of the Congleton Cycling Campaign were present, plus those from the Congleton Cycling Club, along with others who wanted to share their ideas. There was even a Cheshire East officer present. Perhaps finally our local authority has realised that more cycling means less road congestion, less wear and tear on roads, less air pollution, less pressure on car parking spaces, and a healthier population putting less pressure on health and social services?
