This is our press release for local papers:
Join the Pedalling Picnic!
Have you been thinking about getting your bike out of the shed now that the Summer is eventually here? Have you been worrying about the state of your bike? Have you been worrying about the state of your fitness?
The answer to all these questions is Pedalling Picnic.
Dust off your bike, get you summer riding clothes out of the wardrobe, make a ‘pack up’ and come and join the Pedalling Picnic on Sunday June 16.
This 10 mile, mainly off road, ride will leave Congleton Town Hall at 10.30. We will ride via the Biddulph Valley Way to Biddulph Grange Country Park where we will have a picnic on the meadow in front of the rangers’ hut. Toilet facilities will be available. Enjoy your picnic in the company of a group of riders from Stoke who will have ridden from Ford Green Hall.
We plan to be back in Congleton for about 13.30 so you will have plenty of time to join in with the Congleton Food Festival.
If you are a bit unsure about the mechanical state of your bike come along a bit earlier for a free check over.
The Pedalling Picnic is being organised by the Congleton Cycling Campaign as part of our efforts to get more people cycling for short journeys in Congleton. We will have a stall at the Food Festival and invite you to come a chat about your cycling experiences.
For more information about the campaign, look at this website www.congletoncycling.co.uk or call Peter Hall on 07718 540127.
We hope to see lots of you there.
