Google maps now show cycle routes

When you look at Google maps, you'll now see an option to view cycling routes - Sustrans has put on dedicated routes and quiet cycling-friendly lanes.   This should help those who are just starting to use their bikes for transport, and encourage more to begin pedalling.  Sustrans is also keen for people to add their own routes, but it's not clear how you do this at the moment.  Perhaps it will become clear with time?Have a look at the Sustrans news release.   Read more [...]

The third edition of the Congleton Cycle Network Map (free) is now available to show you the way into and across town without using busy and intimidating roads. For instance, did you know that you can cycle from West Heath into the town centre in less than 10 minutes and not once be on a main road? Discover these quiet routes on your bike on Thursday evenings (23rd June, 21st July and 11th August). Time and place are on the social rides calendar.
