We've been busy putting together an ambitious wishlist plus some cheap and cheerful quick fixes (will post these later) to improve the Congleton Cycle Network, as requested by town councillor Suzie Akers-Smith, the force behind the success of the 2016 Tour of Britain stage held here in Cheshire East.

Some good news:Cheshire East have agreed to spend money on two projects that we have been on about for a while.1 Cycling is to be permitted in the pedestrian precinct in Congleton before 10.00 and after 16.30.2 The towpath on the Macclesfield Canal is to be improved between Severn Close and Congleton railway station. We’re pleased to report that those wheelbenders outside Congleton Leisure Centre will soon be replaced with more sensible racks in a better location, under the eagle eye of a CCTV that will monitored by a real person.
We’ve been asked to comment on the installation before it gets the go ahead, so it should tick all the boxes.
