Review of Highway Code set to empower cyclists and pedestrians

Share

Good news that the Department of Transport is reviewing the Highway Code to include issues that put off cyclists i.e. close overtaking, and opening car doors without checking for other road users.

Read the announcement and also note that there is reference to a consultation about possible new laws and penalties relating to death/serious injury caused by dangerous or careless cycling. This consultation ends at 11:45pm on 5 November 2018 so be sure to access it to add your comments. The very last box allows you to add your views.
