Cheshire East Countryside Rangers have announced that the Biddulph Valley Way is now open to all walkers, cyclists and equestrians after the surface renewal. A lovely new surface it is too!
As of the beginning of April 2019 the Cheshire East rangers have informed us that the resurfacing of the Biddulph Valley Way from Brunswick Wharf to the Stone Cottages is now complete. This means that walkers and cyclists can use this section without restriction, Equestrians are still unable to use this section until the surface beds down, We will advise when this is totally open,
You may be interested in a film next week – Wednesday 13 March – at the Foxlowe arts centre, Stockwell St, Leek ST13 6AD.
The 90 minute film is called “Bikes vs Cars” and looks at 5 major cities. The film starts at 7.45 and the bar opens at 7 pm.

Cheshire East Rangers have advised us that the Biddulph Valley Way, between Brunswick Wharf and the railway viaduct at Stone Cottages, will be undergoing some maintenance over the next month or so. We are advised that NCN55 will not be closed during this period but users should be aware of contractors’ equipment, movements and earthworks. The route WILL be closed to equestrian users during this period. When we know when the work will be complete we will post that news.
